A complete casting and pressing fleet

Vertical integration is what keeps tolerances stable between batches — the reason a cylinder ordered today fits a door made three years ago.

Surface finishing, and where each finish belongs

The finish decides how the hardware looks after two winters, not just how it looks in a sample box.

Finishing processes run on site
FinishHow it is appliedWhere it is normally specified
Powder coatingElectrostatic spray, cured in an industrial ovenPainted bodies and brackets, colour matched to your reference
Nickel platingElectroplating, bright or satinZinc-alloy bodies where a bright finish is expected
Chrome platingElectroplating over a nickel layerDecorative, high-wear surfaces such as key heads and bolts
Zinc platingElectroplatingBase corrosion protection on steel parts and fixings
Brushed or mirror polishingMechanical polishingStainless bodies and any face the tenant sees
Matte blackCoating or platingFacility hardware where handling marks should not show

Finish is chosen with the environment, not from a catalogue page. For coastal air we recommend 304 stainless with a brushed finish; for an indoor corridor, 201 stainless is normally enough. Tell us where the lock is installed and we will confirm the finish and the corrosion record that applies to it.

Process

From raw material to packed carton

Every stage has a written work instruction and a defined check point. Nothing moves to the next stage on assumption.

  1. Raw material

Incoming inspection against specification; batch records opened.

  2. Punching and machining

Bodies, plates and shackles formed to drawing.

  3. Polishing and surface treatment

Finish applied to the agreed reference.

  4. Plating

Corrosion protection matched to indoor or outdoor use.

  5. Assembly

Cylinders, pins, springs and shackles assembled and function-tested.

  6. Inspection and packing

Final check, packing verification and pre-shipment photos.

Scalability — small batches to large series

Flexible lines let us run a sample order and a phased multi-site programme on the same specification. For phased projects we schedule deliveries per site rather than shipping one container and hoping.

First Article Inspection before every batch

Before a full run starts, we confirm dimensions, finish and fit against the approved sample or drawing. If the first article is wrong, the batch does not start.

Mandatory 100% manual surface and function check on each unit at final inspection.

Quality & testing

Seven stages, each with a written work instruction and a defined check point.

Questions about the production base

Can we audit the factory before ordering?

Yes. We support on-site audits and live video walkthroughs of the die-casting, assembly, inspection and packing areas. Our most recent third-party on-site verification was completed by SGS on 30 October 2025.

Which machines run the self-storage lines?

Six die-casting machines, twelve punching machines, five drilling machines, five painting lines, three industrial ovens, eight automatic assembly machines and a laser marking machine — 40+ units in total.

How is capacity shared between product lines?

Lock and key-box lines run at 300,000 units a month. Self-storage models are scheduled on the same lines, so capacity is allocated by order rather than by a dedicated self-storage line.

How many people work on the self-storage lines?

The site runs with 100+ staff across casting, machining, finishing, assembly, inspection and packing. How many sit on self-storage work in a given month follows the production plan rather than a fixed team.

What is the site's monthly capacity?

Around 300,000 units a month across the lock and key-box lines. What that means for your order depends on the model and the finish, so the schedule is confirmed against your quantity rather than quoted from the site figure.

Can we see the production floor without travelling to Wenzhou?

Yes. The video tour covers the casting and pressing workshop, the manual assembly benches and the quality control laboratory. For any station the videos do not reach, ask and we will photograph or film that specific operation.
